Mark is a co-founder of Andover Group, serves as Managing Director of Andover Corporate Finance and as a Director of Andover Capital Partners. Mark’s career spans over thirty years in investment banking and private equity investment in Australia and New Zealand. He specialises in advising corporate and private equity firm clients in connection with mergers, acquisitions, divestments, capital raisings, corporate restructurings and financial matters generally. Prior to co-founding Andover Group Mark held senior executive positions with Jump Capital, Oceania & Eastern Group, Beerworth & Partners and Wardley James Capel Corporate Finance (HSBC).
Mark graduated B.Com LL.B from Auckland University. ACA (NZ), SA Fin.
Chris is Andover Practice Lead for Communications, Telecom and Technology. He has 34 years’ experience in the technology & telecommunications industries, as a director and strategic adviser. Chris is a former Executive with AT&T, Telstra, Motorola and Worley Parsons. He has held Board positions with Telstra, Motorola, Brasserie Bread, Health Communications Network, CVC Private Equity, Digitran and Unique Solutions. As both a seasoned operational executive, and a consultant, Chris blends a practical perspective, with reference to innovation and strategic clarity.
Chris was the founding Director of the UNSW Centre for Innovation & Entrepreneurship, where this program sought to develop leadership and market savvy in academic researchers and innovators. He has also written textbooks and courses for the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), where he is Fellow. His courses & authorship focused on Capital Raising for Private Companies, and Succession Planning for Privately Held, Medium Size Enterprises.
Chris holds an MBA from Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Management, as well as dual undergraduate degrees in Industrial Engineering and Economics.
David has over 40 years experience in Australia and overseas in building, leading and advising corporations, midsize businesses and family groups in restructuring, international expansion, change management, mergers and acquisitions and succession planning.
He commenced his career in the 1960’s with Chartered Accountants, mainly Arthur Andersen in the UK and Australia, and then spent 18 years in the international agribusiness industry including Head of Tax with Goodman Fielder.
From 1993 to 1996 David was an Executive Director of Grant Samuel Structured Finance.
Since 1996 he has had and continues to have various Board appointments and other roles with companies in investment banking, software development, offshore structured finance and in industry. He became an Adviser to Andover in 2016.
David attended the University of New South Wales [BCom] and the London School of Economics and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia [FCA].
Barry has over thirty years experience in investment banking and private equity in Australia. Barry commenced his career in investment banking in 1985 with Wardley Australia Limited (HSBC) (Sydney), joined Grant Samuel in 1990 where he served as an Executive Director through 1996 then co-founded Longreach in 2001 where he served as a director before joining Andover in March 2014. Barry served as Chairman of ASP Aluminium Holdings Pty Limited from 2006-2013.
Barry graduated from University of Sydney B.Ec, LL.B.
Ben’s career spans over 20 years in investment banking, investment management and entrepreneurial activity. He specialises in advising ASX listed and private companies in connection with equity capital raising, IPOs, venture capital and general strategic advice. He has direct experience in a wide array of sectors including TMT and digital industries, junior resources and energy, commercial property and financial services. Prior to joining Andover Group, Ben held senior executive positions at ASX investment companies Bentley Capital, Mariner Financial and CVC Limited, as well as corporate finance roles with two mid-market stockbroking firms. He has co-founded several start-up businesses.
Ben graduated B.Com LL.B from the University of New South Wales.
